Movie Parties terms & conditions of use
The scripts, guides and other digital and physical goods purchased on the Movie Parties website are provided in good faith as fit for the purposes for which they are sold. However, no warranty is made by Movie Parties as to their suitability for use in particular circumstances.
No liability whatever will be assumed by Movie Parties for any accident, injury or other issue arising from the use of its products. Making a movie inevitably involves the use of materials, props, special effects and other items which may not form part of 'everyday' activities. All due care should therefore be taken while using Movie Party Party Packs and movie accessories, and no liability whatever will be accepted by Movie Parties for issues arising from their use.
Movie Parties are specifically written for the enjoyment of children. Care must naturally be taken to ensure that children involved in a movie party are properly supervised and cared for by responsible and appropriate adults. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that this is indeed the case.
The age at which a movie party can be enjoyed varies widely between children and depends on a range of factors including general maturity, ability to concentrate, reading level, and so on. Broadly speaking, movie parties are most successful with children aged roughly between 7 and 14 years old, with the middle of this range being the most likely to be successful. However, Movie Parties can make no guarantee that the children for which a specific Party Pack is purchased will find it appropriate for them. Purchasers must make their own judgement as to the suitability of specific material to the intended audience. Movie Parties will help in this by providing script excerpts, character descriptions, etc. However, no warranties can be made in respect of a specific audience.
The use of video in relation to children must inevitably be handled with care. While Movie Parties cannot accept any liability whatsoever for issues arising - either directly or indirectly - from the filming of one of its scripts, we do recommend that basic steps are taken to avoid potential issues. These include ensuring that the parents of all the participants have had the opportunity to read the full script prior to the party, that they are clearly informed of the nature of the party and understand that it will involve their child being filmed, that they are aware of the identity and suitability of any adults involved in filming or possible post-editing, and that they are reassured that the film will not be distributed beyond the immediate participants without their express permission. These simple proactive steps can be used to ensure that all involved have no cause for any concern.
Movie Parties documents are downloaded from a secure location once payment has been processed. However, these documents are not further protected in order to maintain ease of use and keep costs down. It is explicit in your purchase of a Movie Parties Party Pack that you will not electronically alter any Movie Parties document; nor will you distribute any Movie Parties document electronically (unless it is for transmission to participants in filming a Movie Parties script - in which case you must notify the recipients of the terms of this license, and that further re-transmission by them is not allowed); nor will you make these documents available electronically to others in any other fashion (such as website, blog, mobile, TV, etc.); nor will you photocopy Movie Parties documents for any group other than those immediately involved in filming a script. However, you may print as many copies of Movie Parties documents as are required for the purposes of filming your chosen script.
